Great Miami River

I was able to get about an hour of fishing in and managed to get a couple smallies and a spotted bass. The bass were really active, but a bunch of people started treading the waters and throwing bait nets in the dam which spooked everything.

I took a break from catching stocked trout and hit the creek. I got a few hits, but wasn’t able to hook anything on the fly rod, so I threw a worm on my spinning rod just so I didn’t get skunked.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to get some fishing in, so it was nice that the fish were active. I managed to catch a nice crappie, a little smallie and a bunch of nice rock bass.

Caught Turk McGee some minnows today. I figured might as well catch a few bigger ones and play with the creek smallies.
